According to the article in the Washington Times, Archbishop Charles Chaput states Senator Biden should not receive Holy Communion due to his pro-choice views on abortion.  As I mentioned in an earlier blog, I did not think Senator Obama would choose Sen. Biden because he would not want to revisit the controversy Senator Kerry went through in 2004.  I guess I was wrong.

One has to wonder why the Democrats are so ignorant of the most fundamental tenant of the Church:  respect for life.   It is time for the rest of the bishops in the U.S. to reaffirm the statement of Archbishop Chaput and tell Catholic politicians that there is no middle-ground when it comes to abortion.  You are either for it or against it and if you continue to advocate the pro-choice view then you should not be allowed to receive Holy Communion.
