Governor Palin is the Choice
Presidential Politics, Uncategorized August 29th, 2008According to Fox News, Governor Sarah Palin is Senator McCain’s choice as a running mate. Please allow me to briefly toot my own horn but in an earlier posting on this blog Gov. Palin was my choice for the Republican VP slot.
I think given the circumstancesthis is the best choice. For one thing it will mitigate much of Senator Obama’s bounce coming out of the Democratic Convention. Second, I think a lot of Hillary Clinton supporters will now support Sen. McCain. One reason is they get to vote for a women vice-president and if McCain wins, Hillary Clinton will almost certainly run again in 2012–something she would unlikely do if Sen. Obama wins.
As well, Senators Obama and Biden will be a little hesitant to attack her for fear of alienating the female vote, since Sen. Obama has (rightly or wrongly) that reputation when it came to the primary campaign with Senator Clinton.

I believe as a senior male moderate, that Sen. McCain’s choice for VP is fantastic. I have lived in Alaska, and a Great State it is. May we have two Great American’s Govern this Great Country, and keep the checks and balances in place.

I still can’t believe that you were all over this from the beginning.
I would have lost a lot of money to you (except I only bet quarters). I think she was an amazing choice.
